176 corruption cases admitted to judiciary – Ministry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: More than 176 administrative and financial corruption cases were admitted to the judiciary, the Iraqi trade minister said in a release on Tuesday. “The Trade Ministry formed a higher committee to look into corruption cases, and to check any tip-offs in this regard,” Abdulfalah al-Sudani said in the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “A number of employees were dismissed from their positions due to corruption,” he said. “Much of the information that reaches the Ministry with respect to corruption is inaccurate, and aims at confusion and achieving personal interests,” he added.
