No new measures at Rabia border crossing with Syria

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Trading level through the Rabia border crossing has been reduced, while passengers’ movement remained the same as there have been no new measures in this regard, a source who works at the border crossing said on Tuesday. “Trading levels through Rabia border crossing (110 km west of Mosul city) have considerably dropped,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Recently, the crossing has mostly been used by passengers only,” he said. “Passengers’ movement is normal, and there are no measures to prevent them from entering Iraq through the Rabia border point,” he added. He pointed out that businessmen currently prefer Albu-Kamal border point with Syria for trade purposes. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. MH (P) / SS 1
