URGENT: Peshmerga repels ISIS attack on Kirkuk outskirts

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Kirkuk province announced that, the Peshmerga forces repulsed an attack of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from 3 axes in the outskirts of the province, indicating that the attack resulted in killing 30 elements of the terrorist organization.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The ISIS organization attacked, today, the outskirts of Kirkuk province from three axes—Turklan district, Khalid’s office and al-Moltaqa district (45 km southwest of Kirkuk),” pointing out that the Peshmerga returned fire and forced the militants to withdraw.
