Sadrists protest against Bahraini forces’ raid on the home of the Bahrain religious Issa Qassem

(IraqiNews.com) on Saturday, dozens Sadrist movement followers protested in central Baghdad against the Bahraini forces, that raided the home of the Bahrain religious authority, Sheikh Issa Qassem. The protesters denounced overtaking the sanctity of the religious authorities, claiming that targeting Sheikh Qasim as an attempt  by the Bahraini regime to silence the voice of the public movement.

IraqiNews.com reporter said  that dozens of followers of the Sadrist movement were gathered this morning  in front of the Bahraini Embassy in Mansour district, west Baghdad to protest against the Bahraini forces, which raided the home of the religious authority, Sheikh Issa Qassem, last Tuesday west of Manama.

The reporter added that the demonstrators held placards and chanted slogans condemning the incident raiding the sanctity of religious authorities, the clerics and the popular movement in Bahrain, noting that they claimed that the targeting of Sheikh Qasim is an attempt by the Bahraini regime to silence the voice of the public movement.
