54m shares traded in ISX 7th electronic session

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX) on Sunday held its seventh electronic trading session, where 54 million shares were traded at a value of 82 million Iraqi dinars (ID) ($70,000 U.S. dollars). Thirty-eight transactions were made during the session, in which trading took place over the shares of three joint-stock firms out of a total five registered at the ISX. The firms are the Ashur International Bank (AIB), the Commercial Bank of Iraq (CBIQ) and Ashtar Hotel. The shares of the CBIQ, AIB and Ashtar Hotel dropped to ID1.400, ID1.100 and ID29.650 down from ID1.450, ID1.150 and ID33.300 respectively during the previous e-trading session. The ISX had witnessed the first e-trading session on April 19 over five registered companies, three banks and two hotels. The ISX holds three sessions on a weekly basis: one electronic session over five joint-stock companies on Sundays and two manual trading sessions over 86 registered companies out of a total 91 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
