3 French Mirage jets deployed in Jordan
(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Jordanian Army spokesman Col. Mamduh al-Ameri said, that France has deployed 3 Mirage warplanes in Jordon to assist in the fight against the ISIS group.
French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian previously announced, that France, which has already 9 Rafale warplanes in the United Arab Emirates, will deploy six more jet fighters in Jordan to assist in the operations against ISIS. “The deployment of the six Mirage jets would strengthen our presence in this theater of operations” Drian said.
Col. Al-Ameri said, that three of the air crafts arrived last Friday, but has not mentioned where the 3 fighter jets were deployed or when the other 3 would arrive in Jordan.
