URGENT: Two bombs kill 10, wound 24 in al-Sadr, Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a source within the police force stated, that 10 civilians have been killed and 24 others were injured in two explosions, which occurred in al-Sadr area in eastern Baghdad.
The source informed IraqiNews, “This evening, two bombs went off in al-Sadr area causing a number of casualties among civilians. The first bomb was emplaced in a car that was parked in the road near al-Oula Market in al-Sadr area, and the second bomb went off in al-Owerdi street near to the first area.”
“The two bombings have killed 10 civilians and wounded 24 others in the area. Security forces shortly arrived in the two areas, while ambulances carried the injured ones to a near hospital for medical treatment, and sent the dead bodies to the Forensic Medicine Authority,” said the source.
