Saudi FM stresses need of combat troops to defeat ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said, that aerial bombing alone cannot defeat ISIS, stressing the need of combat forces on the ground.

In his speech at the anti-terrorism conference in Brussels, FM Prince al-Faisal said: “We are aware that countering terrorism will take a long time and continuing effort…” adding that, “Out of the Kingdom’s keenness to further  the success of efforts, we believe this requires the presence of combat troops on the ground.”

Noteworthy, foreign ministers and representatives from more than 60 nations around the world are meeting in Brussels to discuss the fight against the self-proclaimed Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
