Agricultural bank lends ID15 billion during 4 months

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Agricultural Cooperative Bank of Iraq granted the workers of the agricultural and livestock wealth sectors a 15 billion Iraqi dinars in four months, the director of the bank said Wednesday. “The bank granted 15 billion Iraqi dinars for the period between February 1 and June 9 2009,” Mohamed Hadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The bank will receive around 244.800 billion Iraqi dinars to transfer them to its branches to distribute them on the borrowers within a specialized governmental program to support the agricultural and livestock wealth,” he noted. “There are two new funds within this program; the first to develop marshes and the other to the agricultural mechanization and new irrigation system,” he said. “The other funds include funds for lending the projects of the livestock and funds for the development of the palms fields,” he noted.
