Security of Iraq is vital for Iran, says Iranian President
(IraqiNews.com) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Tuesday, that Iran believes that defeating terrorism as well as the establishment of security in neighboring Iraq is vital for the security of Iran.
Fars News Agency reported, that during his meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, Rouhani said, “Iran considers the stability and security of Iraq as its own stability and security.”
He also added, “Iran is very pleased to see the Iraqi Army liberating large expanses of territories from the terrorists,” stressing that, “Iran is seeking to strengthen the relationship and brotherhood with Iraq in all sectors.”
