Supreme Federal Court cancels membership of MP Imad al-Zurfi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Supreme Federal Court decided to cancel the membership of MP, Imad al-Zurfi, of al-Wafa al-Iraqi bloc on Tuesday.

The SFC assured that the Parliamentary seat should be granted for the candidate who got the greater number of votes to respect the voters’ freedom.

Imad al-Zurfi replaced his brother Adnan al-Zurfi who won a parliamentary seat during the elections yet he resigned to keep on his post as Governor of Najaf. /End/
