60 arrested on criminal, terror charges in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Sixty men have been arrested on criminal and terror-related charges in Karbala province throughout the past 48 hours, a local police chief said on Monday. “Security forces captured 60 wanted men in different parts of the province throughout the past two days,” Staff Maj. Gen. Ali Jassem Mohammed told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Eight of those arrested are wanted in accordance Article IV of the Terrorism Law,” the official noted. “The others are suspected of committing several crimes, including murder, theft and arms and drugs trafficking,” he added.
