Woman found dead near Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Sunday found a body with gunshot wounds near Kirkuk city, according to a local police chief. “On Sunday, a police force found a body of a woman near Omar Mandan village of Shawan district (25 km north of Kirkuk city),” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com news agency. The body was taken to the morgue and an investigation is currently underway, the official noted. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
