President condemns attack against Saudi border post

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President , Fuad Masum condemned in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince , Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al -Saud on Thursday the attack on the border post.

A statement of the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq cited that Masum stressed the importance of cooperation and work for the eradication of terrorism for its danger to everyone.

The Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the death of Saudi security elements and wounding another, following what it has described as a “terrorist attack” by an explosive belt targeted their patrol in Swef new Center affiliated to Arar northern border region.

The statement said during the phone call, that the president reassured on the health of the Saudi Crown Prince King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, wishing him good health and wellness.

“For his part, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz thanked Masum for the phone call, stressing Saudi Arabia’s concern to the importance of the relationship between the two countries.” According to the statement.
