Diwaniya Governor discusses importance of Diwaniya airport with Electricity Minister

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Diwaniya Governor Ammar al-Madani discussed with the Minister of Electricity Qasim al-Fahdawi during their meeting on Sunday the importance of establishing the Cargo Airport in Diwaniya.

Statement by the Ministry of Electricity received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Minister of Electricity Qasim al-Fahdawi received the Governor of Diwaniya Ammar al-Madani and other members of Diwaniya Provincial Council in his office,” noting that “the Minister stressed the necessity to prove that the officials stand by the citizen and support him through providing the best services for him.”

“The Governor of Diwaniya appreciated the good performance and achievements of the minister since he assumed the post,” the statement added.

“During the meeting, Governor Madani discussed the importance of establishing Diwaniya Cargo Airport project in the province which will be implemented by a Kuwaiti investment company specialized in constructing airports because this project will have positive effect on the economic situation of the mid-Euphrates provinces,” according to the statement.

The statement mentioned “The visiting delegation also presented some demands related to improvement of the electricity power distribution grid and establishing power transformation stations in the province,” noting that “The Minister Fahdawi expressed his readiness to support and implement the demands of the delegation which will improve the services presented to the citizens.” /End/
