Germany’s military aid supported Peshmerga forces on ground, says Kurdish official
(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the Minister of the Peshmerga General Affairs Mustafa Sayed Qadir asserted, that Germany’s military aid to the Peshmerga has provided support for the Kurdish fighters on the ground.
In a press conference held during his meeting with the German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen, Qadir asserted, “The German military aid to the Peshmerga has supported our forces on the ground…Epecially the MILAN Anti-Tank missile system, which have played an effective role in targeting the ISIS militants and repel the ISIS group’s attacks.”
Qadir has also expressed hope to regain control over the Kurdish areas occupied by ISIS within a short time.
