ISIS leader al-Baghdadi executes 56 ISIS members after defeat south of Erbil
Kurdistan (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, an official in the Kurdistan Democratic Party revealed that the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ordered to execute 56 elements of the organization after his defeat in Cowir area south of Erbil, adding that more than 400 other ISIS elements were killed and wounded during clashes with the Peshmerga forces.
Media official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul, Saed Mimousini, said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi executed 56 of his men after their defeat at the hands of the Peshmerga forces in Cowir area southern of Erbil,” noting that, “The executions took place in Nimrod area east Mosul.”
Mimousini added, “The battles between ISIS and the Peshmerga in the southern areas of Erbil resulted in killing nearly 300 elements of organization and injuring 102 others,” adding that, “Mosul hospitals are crowded with ISIS wounded amid declining services, health and medical supplies in the province.”
