Mother, daughter killed in Mosul copycat

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A woman and her daughter were killed by gunmen in an incident the third of its kind in a matter of 10 days in the city of Mosul, a Ninewa police source said on Thursday. “Unidentified gunmen stormed a house in the area of al-Atshana, eastern Mosul, on Thursday, killing a woman and her daughter before they managed to escape to an unknown place,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The daughter was about 15 years old. The two bodies were taken to a morgue in the city,” the source said, not giving more details. On May 24, a woman and her daughter were shot down by gunmen who raided their house in Falastine neighborhood, southeastern Mosul. Earlier, on May 21, gunmen raided a house in al-Quds neighborhood, eastern Mosul, killing a mother and her daughter. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
