ISIS sentences 56 officers to death despite their declaration of “repentance”

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the ISIS organization sentenced 56 security officers to death, although they had already declared their so-called “repentance”, according to a local source in Nineveh

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “ISIS has sentenced to death 56 security officers who had declared the so-called repentance after ISIS’ entry to the province on 10th June and abducting the officers from their homes.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Elements of the terrorist organization informed the families of the kidnapped that the penalty will be implemented in the coming days,” explaining that, “All these officers are from the Albu Mtiot tribes of the adjacent villages of Sinjar district northwest of the city of Mosul.”
