Masoum, Hakim discuss political, security developments in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President Fuad Masoum discussed with the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday the political and security developments in Iraq.

Presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com cited Wednesday “Both President Masoum and Hakim stressed importance of uniting efforts in order to expand map of victories on ISIL and eliminate dangers and face challenges.”

“Masoum emphasized importance of eliminating disputes and bring stances close in order to vote for the 2015 budget law draft which is necessary for all Iraqis,” according to the statement.

Another statement by Hakim’s office assured “Both sides discussed the international support for Iraq in fighting the ISIL as well as discussing victories of the security forces and volunteers and Peshmerga.” /End/
