Talabani meets party members over politics

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani, who is also the secretary general of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with his party officials to discuss the current political situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan region. Talabani highlighted the general conference of the PUK and the parliamentary polls in the region as the main tasks facing his party, according to a statement published on the official web site of the union.
