Peace – coexistence conf. launched in Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: A two-day conference on peace and coexistence for the provinces of Kirkuk, Ninewa, Diala, and Salah al-Din has been launched in Sulaimaniya province under the auspices of Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani. The conference, organized by the Civil Development Organization (CDO) in coordination with Relief International (RI), was attended by a number of politicians and religious figures. In his speech at the conference, a Kurdistan Parliament representative stressed the importance of the event to all constituents of Iraqi society. The CDO is a non-governmental organization, established in 1999. Sulaimaniya city lies 364 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
