Obama allocates $8.8 billion to fight ISIS
(IraqiNews.com) U.S. President Barack Obama announced Monday, that the U.S. government will allocate $8.8 billion in fiscal 2016 budget to support efforts in the fight against the ISIS group in Iraq and Syria.
Obama’s propose on Fiscal Year 2016 Budget requests $8.8 billion to fund U.S. efforts in the war against the ISIS group militants, bolster the Iraqi Army and reinforce moderate opposition rebels in Syria.
About $5.3 billion is allocated for the Department of Defense, including money for air strikes, and $3.5 billion to the Department of State.
