FM takes up Iraq’s relations with Kuwait, Denmark

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on Wednesday discussed Iraq’s foreign relations during two separate meetings with the British ambassador to Kuwait and the Danish envoy to Baghdad. “On Wednesday, Hoshyar Zebari received the British ambassador to Kuwait, Michael Aron, who is currently on a visit to Iraq, and the British ambassador to Iraq, Christopher Prentice…,” according to a Foreign Ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations…,” the statement noted. Zebari said that negotiations are underway over an agreement with the British Navy to train and support Iraqi Navy forces, which are assigned to protect ports and floating oil facilities in the south of the country, according to the statement. “Zebari also received the Danish ambassador to Baghdad, Michael Hemente,” the statement added, noting that the two officials discussed means of boosting bilateral relations.
