Barzani discusses Iraq developments with Lebanese politician

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Massoud Barzani, the president of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, held a meeting with Duraid Yaghi, deputy head of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) in Salahaddin resort on Thursday, according to a Kurdish presidential statement. “They discussed the current situation in Kurdistan region and Iraq and exchanged views on the relations between the Kurdistan region and the PSP, which were termed as fraternal and friendly,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two sides discussed bilateral relations between Lebanon and Kurdistan region and the preparations by Kurdish parties for the parliamentary elections, which will be held in Kurdistan region on July 25th,” it added. For his part, Yaghi expressed content for visiting the Kurdistan region and praised the political situation and security developments in the region in all fields. SH (P) 1
