VP, Egyptian PM take up relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East at the Dead Sea, Jordan, Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdulmahdi met with Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif to discuss mutual cooperation. “The meeting, which took place yesterday, tackled means of boosting bilateral relations in all fields…,” according to a statement released by Abdulmahdi’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Abdulmahdi invited senior Egyptian official to visit Baghdad for talks with their Iraqi counterparts in an attempt to activate and develop bilateral relations, the statement noted. Abdulmahdi also met with the special advisor to the Algerian president, Abdulaziz Belkhadem, and discussed with him the development in bilateral relations following the improvement in the security conditions in both countries, the statement noted.
