25 lists take part in Kurdish parliamentary elections

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Independent High Electoral Commission in Kurdistan said on Tuesday that 25 lists, including five alliances will take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections. “The Interior Ministry in Kurdistan decided in coordination with the IHEC to form a high committee to secure the elections after a meeting with Kurdish Interior Minister Karim Sinjari and IHEC representatives in Arbil, Hamdiya al-Husseini, in Arbil on Tuesday (May 19),” said the IHEC in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The IHEC had announced last month that 42 political blocs registered in the IHEC to participate in the elections, due on July 25 in Kurdistan. SH (P)/SR 1
