ISIS cuts 3 women’s hands off, whips 5 people for using cellphones in central Mosul
(IraqiNews.com) A local source in Nineveh province announced on Thursday, that the ISIS group has cut off the hands of three women without charges, and whipped five people for using cellphones to contact their relatives in central Mosul.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today evening, the ISIS militants cut three women’s hands off for unknown charges,” adding that, “They also whipped five people for using cellphones to contact their relatives while standing on the celebration stage in the Cultural Compound in central Mosul.”
The source, who requested anonymity, added, “ISIS told the people of Mosul that it would whip anyone 30 times if they were caught using cellphones.”
A local source in Nineveh province reported on November 23, 2014 that ISIS claimed responsibility for cutting cellphone networks in Mosul, pointing out that the group confirmed it would not allow the usage of cellphones in the city again.
On July 30, 2014, another local source in Nineveh stated that the terrorist organization had imposed the Afghan uniforms on the people of Mosul, and withdrew all clothes from the stores in the city.
