Our formations contributed in lifting siege on Baghdadi, says Interior Ministry
(IraqiNews.com) Interior Ministry stated Saturday that its formations from Hit and Baghdadi police, in collaboration with the tribesmen, have contributed in lifting the siege on Baghdadi area, confirming that ISIS elements fled towards the west side of the Euphrates River.
The ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The ministry formations have contributed actively in the process of lifting the siege and liberating the residential complex in Baghdadi area, and the enemy suffered great losses.”
Maan added, “A force of the federal police backed by Anbar police elements, especially Hit and Baghdadi police, have achieved this victory in collaboration with the tribesmen,” asserting that, “The rest of the defeated ISIS elements fled towards the west side of the Euphrates River.”
