Obama invites Abadi to visit US

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Haider Al-Abadi received an invitation from the US President Barack Obama to visit the United States.

PM on Sunday welcomed leader of Central Command of US Forces, Gen. Lloyd Austin, in presence of the US Ambassador for Iraq Stewart Jones. The meeting tackled the security posture and the ongoing war with IS terrorists as well as the international military and logistic support for Iraq.

Iraq is running a fierce war against the IS terrorists and this battle needs further support for Iraq, Ebadi added noting “the international support for Iraq has improved over the past days and we are looking for greater support to get rid of the IS scourge.” /End/
