Abadi agrees to exempt head of Hajj & Umra Commission
(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, prime minister Haider Abadi agreed to exempt the head of Hajj and Umra Commission Saleh al-Haidari, according to an informed source.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The head of Hajj and Umra Commission Saleh al-Haidari submitted a request to PM Haider al-Abadi about his exemption from his office,” noting that, “Abadi attributed that to health reasons.”
The source, who request anonymity, added, “Abadi agreed to this request.”
The Saleh al-Haidari was the chairman of the Shiite Endowment; he served as head of Hajj and Umra Commission instead of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi al-Mawla during the current session.
