Resistance will go on, Islamic nation won’t buy U.S. speeches – Sadr

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr said Islamic and Arab nations would not buy U.S. speeches nor believe the U.S. administration before withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan. “It is not up to Obama to change America’s policies. There are specialists to set these policies that have always been against Islam. Softly-spoken words are only meant that the United States wants to take a different approach in bringing the world under its domination and globalization,” Sadr said in a statement commenting on a speech delivered by U.S. President Barack Obama in Cairo on Thursday. “We won’t expect the leader of terrorism to be an angel nor the killer of civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan to be their liberator nor the supporter and prime ally of Israel to be close to Muslims and Arabs,” Sadr said in his release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Obama has read out a speech in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Thursday in which he urged the Muslim world to start a new chapter in relations with the West. AmR (P) 1
