Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Reliable source revealed that “The Iraqi football player Alaa Abdul Zahra has been notified by the Iranian Football Association to appear in Tehran in order to be referred to the Iranian courts.”

The source told IraqiNews.com “The Iraqi Football Association received a notification from its Iranian counterpart that demands the Iraqi player, Abdul Zahra, travel to Iran and appear in front of an Iranian court to answer a breach of contract lawsuit filed by the Iranian Sazi Football Club for his unlawful departure from the club.”

“The Iraqi player has confirmed several times that he legally departed the club and received an official document from the Iranian club before joining the Iraqi Shurta Football Club during this season,” the source added.

The source confirmed “The Iraqi Minister of Sports and Youth, Abdul Hussein Abtan, assured his intention to settle this problem by sending an official delegation to Tehran to end this case.”
