Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, a security source in Anbar province said, that the Iraqi security forces have managed to repel an attack by the ISIS group militants on a military checkpoint near the Jordanian border.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “Today, elements of the ISIS group conducted an attack on a military post in al-Bustan area near the Iraqi-Jordanian border by a suicide bomber, driving a vehicle, and backed by other militants,” pointing out that, “The army forces have managed to repel the violent attack and began clashing with ISIS militants.”

“The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 5 ISIS elements including a suicide bomber.”

“The militants were forced to withdraw to the district of al-Ratbah, located 300 km west of Ramadi,” the source added.
