Maliki arrives to al-Alam, Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, Vice President Nuri al-Maliki arrived to al-Alam district east of Tikrit and met with the security forces and elements of the Volunteer Fighters (al-Hashd al-Sha’bi).
A source in the Volunteer Fighters said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Vice President Nuri al-Maliki arrived this evening to al-Alam district east of Tikrit to inspect the military units there.”
The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “Al-Maliki praised their courage, victories and valuable role in the defense of Iraq.”
