Ratification of constitution necessary to deal with the opposition- MP

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The two main Kurdish parties in Iraq’s Kurdistan advocate the ratification of the constitution before the upcoming parliamentary elections in the region, which they say will enable them to deal with the opposition and parties with links to regional and foreign countries, according to an official source. “The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), which both form the government, advocate the ratification of the constitution…,” a spokesperson for the political bureau of the PUK, Mulla Bakhtyar, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The constitution will ban these bodies, which have links to foreign entities, from working in Kurdistan,” he added.
