(IraqiNews.com) US officials expressed concern about Iran’s deployment of missile high-powered launchers and aesenals in Iraq to assist the Iraqi security forces and the Volunteer Fighters (also known as al-Hashd al-Sha’bi) as part of the military campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

‘New York Post’ website wrote in reports followed by IraqiNews.com, “Iran has deployed Fajr 5 rocket launchers and Fat’h 110 rockets to help the Iraqi Army and al-Hashd al-Sha’bi forces, which are consisting of 30 thousand soldiers.”

The website added, “This raised concerns among US officials for fear of sectarian tension in the region.”

The US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said during a hearing before the Congress last week, that sectarianism is what brought the world to this point, so the US is watching that closely.
