U.S. forces arrest 11 civilians in Dalouiya – police

SALAH EL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: U.S. forces on Wednesday arrested 11 persons during a security raid in Dalouiya, according to a police source. “U.S. forces raided five houses on Wednesday (May 13) in al-Boujwary region in Dalouiya, where they arrested eleven people and damaged houses through detonating sound bombs inside them,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The U.S. troops told the police that they came under fire from unknown gunmen, during which four U.S. soldiers were wounded, the matter forced them to respond and to arrest suspects,” the source added. Meanwhile, Roy Khaled, a citizen, told IraqiNews.com news agency over the phone “U.S. forces detonated our houses at 4:00am by sound bombs and arrested five people, four of them are my brothers and the fifth is my uncle.” Dalouiya district, administratively belonging to Salah al-Din province, lies 90 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
