2nd round of Asian soccer cup games late this month

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Asian soccer federation has set the last week of May as a date to start playing the 2nd round matches of the Asian federation cup 2009, Iraq’s soccer federation chief said on Friday. “The games will be played during the period between May 22 and 26. The al-Zawraa and Arbil teams are expected to play in the 2nd round games after finishing their matches in Groups B and C respectively,” Hussein Saeed told IraqiNews.com news agency. Al-Zawraa is ranked 2nd in Group B with 10 points after Lebanon’s al-Safaa, which collected 12 points, while Arbil is ranked 2nd in Group C with eight points after Kuwait’s al-Arabi. AmR (P) 1
