No swine flu recorded in Kurdistan – health minister

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdish Health Minister Dr. Zryan Osman confirmed that there have been no cases or suspected of the swine flu virus in the Kurdistan Region. This statement came following publishing news by some media channels about the existence of the virus in Qadir Karam Chamchamal areas. The Kurdistan RegionG Health Ministry has taken all necessary procedures regarding this and all preparations are ready to combat the virus in the case of appearing it, he added. He also assured the people that there is no need for being panic, adding that it will be publicly announced whenever any case of the virus appears. The people must carry out the instructions of the Kurdistan RegionG Health Ministry, he concluded. On Wednesday (April 29), the Iraqi Ministry of Health said that Iraq still is free of swine flu. Influenza A (H1N1) symptoms are similar to those caused by ordinary seasonal flu. SH (S) 1
