Talabani presents his book in Tehran int’l book fair
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani addressed a letter to the international book fair in Tehran, presenting his book entitled, ‘After 60 years of memories and life of Jalal Talabani,’ to intellectuals. “To the participating intellectuals in Tehran international book fair, I warmly congratulate you for your participation in this crucial book fair,” part of the letter stipulates. “In this book fair, my book entitled, ‘After 60 years of memories and life of Mam Jalal,’ will be shown which I deem it a modest present and I will present it to the intellectuals.” The book talks about the life of Jalal Talabani in 1940-2005. The main topic of the book are about 400 questions which were directed to the president. The book also includes dialogues with 147 figures of Talabani’s friends, party aids, relatives, and persons who have opposite views towards Talabani’s idea and policy. Those dialogues include 94 interviews with famous global politicians, journalists, and intellectuals. The book consists of three parts: part one includes 600 pages and is dedicated to narrate the life of Jalal Talabani in the years between 1933-1966.It is expected to be published soon in many languages including Kurdish, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and English. Work in the book started from December 2006 until March 2008. SH (S)/SR 1
