Putin’s envoy arrives in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Deputy Foreign Minister and the envoy of the Russian President Mikhail Bogdanov arrived on Thursday to the capital Baghdad on an official visit.

A source in Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari’s office said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Deputy Foreign Minister and the envoy of the Russian President Mikhail Bogdanov arrived today to the capital Baghdad on an official visit.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “Bogdanov will meet with senior Iraqi officials to discuss bilateral issues.”

This is the second visit of Bogdanov to Iraq during the current year; he arrived on January 19, 2015 to the capital Baghdad and met with senior Iraqi officials.
