Anbar in blackout since beginning of 2014, says official

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Anbar Provincial Council announced Thursday, that al-Anbar blackout has lasted for more than a year.

Member of Anbar Provincial Council, Azal al-Fahdawy, stated for IraqiNews.com, “Different areas of al-Anbar, especially the city of Ramadi, have been affected by this blackout,” pointing out that, “The power outage started with the beginning of the crisis in 2014.”

“The power networks and lines were destroyed due to the military operations in most of the territories in Anbar,” al-Fahdawi added.
