Abadi heads senior ministerial delegation to Washington
(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, PM Haider al-Abadi left to the United States on an official visit at the head of a senior ministerial delegation to discuss several issues, like arming the Iraqi security forces.
The reporter of IraqiNews.com said that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi left today the capital Baghdad to Washington at the head of a senior governmental delegation that includes oil minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, defense minister Khaled al-Obeidi, minister of higher education Hussain al-Shahristani, finance minister Hoshyar Zebari and national security advisor Faleh al-Fayad.
The correspondent reported from official sources that the Abadi will discuss with the American side a number of issues that concern both countries, especially arming the Iraqi army and security forces and the liberation of Anbar and Nineveh.
