Iraqi army arrests 2 wanted men in Makhmour

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces arrested in Makhmour suburb two wanted men affiliated with the al-Naqshabandiya Group, according to an army source. “The two persons were arrested on the Makhour – Gayiara highway,” the source told Iraqi News. He pointed out that the two men are residents of the Gayiara suburb, and that they committed sabotages against civilians and security forces. “The two men were driving to Makhmour,” the source said. He noted that the arrest operation relied on an intelligence tip-off. Al-Naqshabandiya is a group that introduces itself as an Islamic spiritual dogmatic organization, but its ideologies changed into ones of armed struggle against the occupation forces. Makhmour is one of the disputed areas between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG).
