(IraqiNews.com) Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday, the end of Al-Hazm Storm operation against the Houthis in Yemen, and the launch of ‘Restoring Hope’ operation, while stated that the air strikes against the Houthis have removed threats on the Kingdom and its neighboring countries.

Saudi state television quoted the Arab Alliance as saying, “Al-Hazm Storm operation has ended; it achieved its military objectives in Yemen,” pointing to the launch of Restoring Hope operation.

Saudi state television added that, “Restoring Hope operation will begin in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution under Chapter VII.”

For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said in a statement that, “The air raids launched by the Alliance’s aircraft have removed threats on the Kingdom and its neighboring countries,” adding that, “The raids have destroyed heavy weapons and ballistic missiles captured by the Houthi militias and the forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh from the bases and the Yemeni army camps.”

It is noteworthy that the aerial campaign against al-Houthis, led by Saudi Arabia, was launched on the 26th of last month at the request of Yemeni president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
