Hilla souk bombers to fall soon, says Babel’s top policeman

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Policemen reached clues and genuine confessions about the perpetrators of bombing attacks in northern Babel , the province’s police chief said on Saturday. “The bombers of the Hilla Grand Souk (market) will fall in the hands of justice soon as confidential information we have received would lead us to the culprits,” Maj. General Fadel Raddad said in a press conference held at the Police Academy . He said that the robbery of several money exchange offices and the theft of salaries of a certain department are shrouded in doubts but there are teams set up to investigate these incidents. Raddad pointed out that a security plan for the Eidul-Fitr holiday is in its final touches. “Security forces will be intensively deployed in public places, houses of worship and markets,” he said, adding the Iraqi army’s 31st Brigade will be included in the plan.
