Arms cache seized in Babel

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Criminal Investigations personnel seized on Sunday a weapons and explosives caches hidden inside a house in northern Babel, a source from the province’s police said. “The arms, munitions and explosives were seized inside a house in the area of al-Bu Jassem, al-Musayyab district, (45 km) northern Hilla,” the source told Iraqi News. “The cache contained a large amount of explosives, improvised explosive devices, mortar shells, bombs weighing 200 kg and two motorbikes,” the source added. He noted that the operation was conducted based on the confessions of one of the wanted persons arrested earlier. Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
