10 civilians wounded in Babel blast

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Ten civilians on Sunday were injured when a bicycle bomb went off in northern Babel province, according to a local police source. “A bicycle rigged with explosives exploded at the entrance of a market in al-Haswa district (50 km north of Babel), wounding 10 civilians, including some in a critical condition,” the source told Iraqi News. The bombing caused damage to nearby buildings, the source added. Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km southwest of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
