(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Tuesday, that Baghdad and Karbala are not militarily threatened, and that security challenges still exist and all the Iraqi cities are unsecured.

Abadi said in a speech while attending a meeting of the House of Representatives today, “From the military point of view, Baghdad and Karbala are not under threat,” noting that, “All the Iraqi cities are unsecured and vulnerable by bombings and security breaches.”

Abadi added, “The security challenges still exist,” pointing out that, “Al-Hashd al-Sha’bi militia (Volunteer Fighters) is an official institution subjected to the decisions of the General Command of the Armed Forces and the military control.”
